HALF LIGHT

"Half Light" is a 2006 mystery film starring Demi Moore and Henry Ian Cusick. It was written and directed by Craig Rosenberg. I have seen it twice and both times I found myself extremely captivated and interested.

The movie is about a writer, Rachel, who's son has died in the middle of her writing her book. She retreats to an island in order to find some peace and finish her book. On the island she meets a man, Angus, with whom she develops a romantic relationship. However, things might not be as they seem. The other people on the island try to convince Rachel that Angus has been dead for years, making Rachel worry about her sanity but also wanting to prove that Agnus is in fact, alive. She fails at this.
It turns out that this Angus is a man pretending to be who he is, so that Rachel would act crazy, because people are planning to murder her and Rachel's insane behaviour would help make the murder look like a suicide.

The movie does have a happy ending, after all. I won't give everything away, but the ending finds Rachel at peace.
